Rev. Vatche Ekmekjian

I was born and raised in Aleppo, Syria, in a Christian family, studied Psychology at Haigazian University in Beirut, and earned a Master of Divinity from the Near East School of Theology in 1997.

I have served in various pastoral roles within the Armenian Evangelical Church in Syria since 1997 and, after moving to Southern California in 2010, became Senior Pastor of Immanuel Armenian Congregational Church of Downey.

In 2017, I earned a second Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, continue to support families and couples through counseling, and live in Pasadena with my wife Lena and our three children.

Rev. Joseph Matossian

I previously served the Armenian Brotherhood Bible Church of Pasadena for 23 years (1971–1994) and, after serving other churches and the Armenian Evangelical Union, was honored to return as interim pastor.

I am a graduate of Azusa Pacific University and the California School of Theology and have served as assistant minister, youth minister, senior pastor of Immanuel Armenian Congregational Church of Downey, and for ten years as Minister to the Armenian Evangelical Union of North America.

My wife Suzie and I have been married for 50 years and are blessed with four sons, four daughters-in-law, seven grandchildren, and one more on the way, celebrating God’s faithfulness.

Rev. Vache Sevajian

By the grace of God, Vache Sevajian started his ministry at ABBC on August 1, 2017 as the youth/sports ministries pastor. Vache has been a member of ABBC since 2003, attending with his family since his youth.

He did his ministry internship at ABBC Pasadena while getting his Master of Divinity. Upon graduation, he served in several churches in different capacities, but the Lord brought him back here in 2017.

Vache has a B.A. from UCLA in Political Science and a Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology.
